Art Deco 8-day Wind-Up Mantel Clock dating to the 1930’s. This pentangular wooden cased clock in Art Deco Style is made by Smiths, with the. Casing ring stating “Smith’s English Clocks Ltd” on one side and “SEC Cricklewood London” on the other. The pentangular dial is printed with’8 Day’ and’Made in England’. We believe it is fitted with a Smith’s movement with an ABEC platform escapement. Which was typical for this type of clock. It has a slightly convex front glass. Maximum dimensions: 10″ wide by 5 3/4″ high and 3 deep approximately. 26cm x 14.5cm x 8cm. Coming in good cosmetic condition without damage or parts missing from the case. The chromed face surround shows signs of age and has a nice patina. The clock has been wound as is working although we can not confirm the accuracy of the time keeping.
